Anyone know how I can play with the compression settings in Corel 11 as I need to send a file zipped, but winzip doesn’t compress any more than Corel 11 default settings.

    Any advice appreciated.

That’s because the cdr format is already about as small as it gets, you can try pdf but I think its unlikely it will get much smaller.
If you are using lenses/fountain fill and that sort of thing this will increase file size, assuming you are not using spot colours for these convert them to a bitmap this sometimes helps.

Thanks Alan, I eventually found it, turned off compression then winzipped it, you are right came out the same size as Corel.

For litho 300dpi finished size – for digital it depends on where it is viewed I normally do it about 200dpi. Rodney has posted on this topic if you can find some of his back posts.

    300 dpi. At a 1:1 scale.

Why not PDF it with bleeds etc if there are any. Make sure you output CMYK and embed any fonts.
