Beautiful job.
Definitely like the bottom design best – more readable.

I’d say the bottom design too, but i’d be inclined to keep the grey picture at the rear of the van on both sides

Itβs a pity about the no paint Steve.
I can just see a run of paint coming down over the roof and onto the panel ending with a nice row of pig teets. (Technical term that)
Cant I even use technical language now.

Hi Steve,
If running paint is out of the question then I too prefer the lower design. Iβm not sure about the grey image though I think I would lose it, seems difficult to decipher and distract the eye from the main copy, and the effect used on the GOY is sufficient to carry the job on itβs own. Not keen on the near side though.??

That’s pure class Steve – Absolutely brilliant.
I too prefer the lower design – and unlike Alan I would keep the grey background scene in. As long as it’s a very pale grey it won’t distract from the foreground lettering and It gives a fantastic 3 dimensional look to the whole job. Well done.
I’m sure your client will be over the moon with this one – tell him there’s a painter and decorator running round in Scotland with “Acrylic” lettering on his van too.
Post a picture of the finished job when it’s completed π

Thanks for posting this Steve, Ive got a painter & decorators van to do on friday. After seeing this I wont bother posting the finished job in here.
Great design wish I had come up with it first. -
Like the second design with the grey detail but I think you should zoom out a little as its not that clear and had to stare at the graphic for a moment to work out what it was.
the ladder reminded me of a van I did back in 98
look’s a bit naff by today’s standards scanned the man of a Thompson local add and blew it up. corrected the spelling a week later.

Just a thought Steve – how does it look if you put “Goy ” in the Foreground and “Richard in the Middle ground (i.e behind “Goy” not in front of it) with the grey area in the background as before.
Like I said – Just a thought – (I would need to see it myself to decide if it made it look any better).
While we’re at it – how about a “Starburst on one of the “Acrylic letters”
I know, I know it’s your design and I don’t want to go and mess it up π³
