Hi everyone, just picking the vast knowledge on here really.

Our service contract for our UV flatbed printer has recently expired, so i enquired with the current service suppliers how much for another year.

Bearing in mind that we paid £55k for the machine new………£5600 + VAT per Annam!!!……for a service contract!

Now is it me or is that ridiculous. You would need a virtual terminal failure in order to make it anywhere near paying.

    Feedback would be appreciated.

Seems expensive Ryan, Rob was organizing a printer maintenance contract with a firm that services inkjets uv’s and cutters. Maybe worthwhile seeing how that is coming along.

    Hi Ryan

What make/model printer is it? If the contract includes unlimited heads it may not be too far off.

How old is the machine? How reliable is it? If you’ve got a dedicated parking space for the engineers already it may be worth it!!

    regards

    Matthew

It does not include head replacements.

Fairly reliable machine, we look after our gear a lot so things rarely go bang.

Only 1 year old. Raster UV RP-720 Model

Seems expensive if no heads are included, if it is reliable and you’re looking after it a PAYG contract may be worth looking in to. £5k a year is a lot of parts and visits if the expensive bits (heads) are not covered anyway!
