    Hi
Do you need to use a different application tape on paint mask vinyl as it’s low tack? Will the mask come off with the app tape?
    Thanks

Have you ever wondered why you are so tired in the mornings?

You are up all night answering yourself. 😀

Well I am using ORAMASK 810 paint mask film. I have cut it and want to put it onto canvas. The ORAMASK just about sticks to the canvas to take paint but the application tape pulls the mask off when removing. It is medium tack app tape. I have rubbed it before hand to make it less tacky but I presume I need some really low tack app tape? Any suggestions and suppliers?
    Thanks

Thanks for that. It was a bit better wet. I think it’s the canvas that is not a good base for the mask vinyl, not sticking. I will give it a coat of undercoat, see if it bites.
    Thanks again…

I think you’ll find the mask may not stick to the undercoat. not sure tho.

have you cleaned the banner with IPA before sticking the mask down? Some banners have an oily film which makes adhesion for the low tack mask much harder.

    Cheers
