    Hi All

I was wondering if it is necessary to use wrap vinyl for a truck with rivets (lots of rivets) It is a box truck so no recesses.

Do I have to use wrap vinyl? what are my alternatives?

    cheers

No you don’t need to use a wrap vinyl Warren, any good cast vinyl such as 751C will do the job.

Don’t forget to add extra time to fitting to cover the extra work involved.

Warren, doesn’t matter you can print onto cast as easy as any other vinyl. It might work out a bit cheaper printed onto cast as well.

    Hi Martin

Excuse my ignorance, I thought you had to use proper digital media and not normal 751C, or am I being silly and you are talking about a digital media cast material. I have one quote on calendered wrap vinyl but was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative as it is just for rivets and not recesses.

    cheers

Warren, it does need to be digital media, normal vinyl can be printed on, but then the problem is cleanliness, quite often normal vinyl has surface contamination, so its not advisable.
I would use a cast digital (does not have to be specifically a wrap vinyl though,)

    Peter, Have you used one?
I know Rob has had one on demo, and was going to evaluate it, I see they are being sold in the UK now, so I would be interested to know if they are as good as the look, or would they need some practice to use?
