Guys , do i have to stick to banner vinyl , or can i try any…

i ask as i have experimented with lots of standard vinyl , and so far they seem to be fine…..

I don’t want a stock of banner vinyl only , i want something that will do both livery & banners….and cheap

Got my account now with paperco , but have never tried Oracal 651 on banners……..will it work ?

    cheers SD

I think it depends on the length of time the banner is goint to be used, whether it going to be rolled or not and if the info may have to changed now and again.

We don’t hold a large stock of banner vinyl, we just buy it in as and when we need it and always make sure we end up with a bit left over and so we build a small stock.

We use the fact that we only use banner vinyl on banners as a selling point.

If a banner needs a lot of colours we can’t get in banner vinyl-as the choice can be limited-we get it printed.

    Cancel this guys…..

Just looked through my offcuts , and i have used 651 before …..

These banners are mainly for fates and charity do’s , so these people are on a tight budget……

But the banner i made for my advertising has 651 as its main large font , and has been outside for about 4 months with no probs….

I also have a rolled up one that a guy hasn’t come back for that still looks the biz , that’s been there for 2 months….

I’ll take my chances……i do advertise them as budget banners anyway……

Like you say , if anybody want more than this , then I’d outsource digital anyway , i find that anything more than a simple few words , on a banner any more than 12ft, I’d be better off outsourcing…

Although maybe i should change that to anything over 6ft , as that’s the length of my bench…..kitchen floor after that , flippin tiles !!!

    cheers , SD

I use LG Chem 5-7 vinyl from All Print Supplies for general signage and banners. The vinyl is warranted for use as banner vinyl for 1 year if it is used on their banner on a roll.
