  • do i have a driver issue or compatibility problems?

I sent a file to my Graphtec FC7000-75 to be cut from Flexisign 7.6 but when the plotter cuts it cuts these small letters/numbers vertically on the edge of the vinyl. I then exported the file to Illustrator and it cut it out fine.

Could this be a driver issue or compatibility problems with Flexisign and the Plotter?

I reinstalled the drivers and even downloaded the new drivers from the Graphtec website but the plotter still cuts like a code of letters and numbers along the edge of the vinyl. Does anyone else use a setup similar to mine with a graphtec plotter conected to a USB port under Windows XP?

The plotter will cut in other programs so i know the plotter works fine. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi,

Sounds like your Graphtec is set to GPGL command language, which is ok for the Graphtec windows driver and the Illustrator plugin, Flexisign needs it to be in HPGL,

go into the menu on the Graphtec and look for command , go into there and change to HPGL, press emter to store the changes,

    cheers

Hi Another thing to watch out for the FC7000 Graphtec is set to be controlled by the software, and flexi sign changes the offset to pen and a fast speed,
again in the menu under background settings you can change it from program to manual.

    cheers

That’s strage, because my Roland has done that before! With Flexi!. It seemes to be after I started using SignLab. I had to delete the Roland, and re-install it again. It does it every now and then still. Might rebuild the PC and see if that helps.
