    Hi All,
Have just been quoted £266.00 per square metre (!) from our usual trade supplier of direct to substrate printing for printing to 10mm thick polycarb or equivalent.
I need to get this cost right down. Can anyone recommend any trade suppliers please.
I need a class 1 fire rated 10mm thick clear sheet.

    Many thanks,
    Paul.

How much is the poly carb on its own? That sounds disgustingly high!

Does it have to be a direct print, can it not be printed on clear vinyl and reverse mounted to rear.

I’m after a good direct to substrate print company too. There don’t seem to be too many about.

An idea for you….Why dont you buy the polycarbonate sheet in from perspex direct and cut it to size….or even better get them to cut it to size, they will even drill holes for you if you need so for mounting.

About a year ago we searched a UV flatbed printer through google for a sheet that was 40"x30" and he said as long as the artwork is set up he would print it for about £50 quid +vat….

Might be an idea to also search companies that sell standard cut sizes of poly.

    Hope this helps

Be careful laying vinyl onto polycarb, unless you "cook it" you will have major gassing out problems, the polycarb supplier will advise you about this.
