    Nice John,
    wish I was there.

It looks quite shiny John, is that the ‘canvas’ material?

One small thing I will note is that it appears to wrap at the sides & not remain flat. Is this inherant to that material (or is it just because the bottom bar is resting on the sill and taking out the tension)?

ps. Hopefully that sample material you got in the post will print OK as it’s purpose made for ‘rollers’.

    nice vibrant print though….

Looks flat to me Dave, even when enlarged. Might be an optican illusion though, I have had a few beers,

I’ve had a few too. :drink4: I recon it’s just not under tension as the bar is on sill. The sides do curve in ever-so-slightly, the change in light shows it up a wee bit.

ps. I’m lookin’ at blinds all flippin’ day – now I’ve got to study them at home!! 😀 😛 Sad, so sad.

I stripped an existing roller blind, took the old material off & printed a new one.
I then took it round to a blind maker who then re fitted it all together.
Taking it apart i was surprised that it was all held together with staples, loads of them, but it does the job OK.

David, quite agree it does tend to wrap at the edges mainly because it is a "canvas" type material that is a bit too heavy duty i think. The chap who re assembled it said when he first handled it that he thought it was a bit thicker than he was used to, but it worked OK.

This is the 1st one i did as it is our own, thought i would practise on ours instead of customers. I thought as it is printed on a Rockhopper with Eco solvent inks, that continually rolling it up & down twice a day might wear the ink off so i laminated it before assembling it. This also makes it heavier.
Mistake i made (as you can see) is not printing it right to the width of material, (misjudged it)

The 2ND one i did for a customer this time, i didn’t bother laminating it.

Hi John, thats a great job done there! I have a similar picture as wallpaper on my computer.

That photo reminds me of one of my favourite places ever-is it a Greek Island by any chance? (I’m probably completely wrong, of course!)

    Peter, funny guy 😀

Lorraine, honest answer, I have no idea………friend of mine sent it to me as i couldn’t find a high enough resolution.

Kevin,…………funny you mention that about the inks………..I changed over a few years ago from the original eco inks to the eco sol plus & i am at the moment changing to the new ones by "Triangle", a lot cheaper.

    John,
Ultima inks are by Mutoh cheaper than the Eco solve + inks and definitely better colours adhesion etc. Are you having any mods done to pipe work etc
