  • Diggers back end – template

    Afternoon folks,

We have been asked to do the below. We were sent a template by another signwriter further afield that’s ment to fit, but it doesn’t. It’s wildly off. Am guessing there is no magic website that I don’t know about that has these templates? Or might have?

in all honesty, I would just wrap the white parts and trim them with a combination of knife and knifeless tape. I would wrap those parts just as quickly as using a kit that makes the back end look like something out of the old film Tron! 🙂

Dont get me wrong, I use kits all the time, and I do tons of excavators. sometimes its less hassle and quicker just wrapping it. Oracal 970 is an easy cost-effective option, but if you have none and time isn’t on your side. a standard white cast will do the job.

    That’s a Kobelco machine.

I do a large number of these….no templates available I’m afraid.

Boom is just a case of measuring for your white panel, most other shapes I do with wrap cut tape but what they are asking for that rear panel looks like a nightmare.

Yea. Normally we would just wrap. I did once do kits for a customer that had machines, lot more basic than this though and they fitted perfectly.

Gave a price for wrap. Gave a price for this. Just about to put my order in for knifeless tape so guess what we are doing *rolls eyes* it’s ok. Think am going to cut some 5mm ish stripes of semi perm vinyl. We can place that down first and then butt the knifeless tape up to that. Should give us a nice even template. I’ve priced for two days and two boys on site. I’ll be at my desk, coffee in hand.
