dibond tray in one piece 4.33m long in one piece – unusual?
Hi everyone and merry christmas!
I have just made up a dibond tray for a customer and took it down to put it up this morning.
For one reason or other we didn’t put it up and took it back to the shop, and had intended putting it up tomorrow. The customer had a look at the sign (4330mm x 740mm folded tray in two sections) and he has just telephoned, querying as to why we made it in two pieces and not one.
I explained that most of this material comes in 2.5 or 3m sheets and had not seen any 5m sheets from any of my suppliers.
The customer seems to think it’s standard practice to have signs of this size in one piece without any joins.
As long as I’ve been doing signs, I’ve never come across this and having spoken to a couple of suppliers and trade suppliers, they say that a one piece sign of this size would be unusual and not the norm as the customer seems to think? What do you think of this ?
Cheers
Joe
