The Trend for Carbon Effect Vehicle Customisation
Are you looking for a carbon fibre look, without the high cost of carbon fibre?

Carbon effect vinyl is becoming an increasingly popular means of customising vehicles, from small standard cars to high value sports and luxury vehicles, to give them a distinctive appearance. 3M DI-NOC carbon fibre is a vinyl film that looks like the real thing but is less expensive and more versatile.

3M carbon fibre is easy to apply. It features Comply adhesive to allow a bubble free and straightforward application.

The film is easy-to-clean with a modern, visually appealing design making the carbon fibre finish perfect for unique wrapping of interior or exterior car surfaces such as bonnets, boots, roofs, side view mirrors and interior plastic. It’s not just a carbon pattern printed; the film has an embossed finish resembling true carbon fibre, which reflects light as expected and changes the highlights of the pattern depending on the viewing angle.

Some of our customers are using DI-NOC for both interior and exterior elements of vehicles such as VW and Mercedes. JLT Autowrap have wrapped fascias, grab handles, roof linings, bonnets, grilles and wing mirrors. "We chose DI-NOC after obtaining a sample from William Smith and thought that it was much better than other materials we had seen. It’s quite pliable and a lot easier to wrap because of the air channels in the material." James Thompson, JLT Autowrap

3M’s DI-NOC range of self-adhesive laminates is available in a wide combination of patterns from natural to hi-tech, which faithfully reproduce finishes such as wood, metal, marble leather and stone. It not only has excellent resistance to water, dirt, impacts and abrasion, but also moulds around objects, and is flame retardant.

Call me a cynic but, I received my free sample of 3m Carbon film this morning……I just need to find something to wrap now……..I think a postcard should do it unless it’s bigger than the 6"x4" sample I got !

I was expecting an A4 sheet…….something that I at least could use to wrap a wing mirror or something.

Don’t get nothing for nothing these days ! 😮
