  • Design approval sign-off sheet, what do you use for customers?

Posted by Tehmoor Khan on September 11, 2018 at 11:32 am

    Hi Everyone,

Can Anyone share a design proof / sign off sheet which you use for clients to sign off artwork prior to print/manufacture.

Also, does anyone send this via email to be signed using a digital signature? if so.. which software are you using?

    Thanks in advance guys…

    Regards

We send a 2 page PDF, the first page makes it perfectly clear what they should be checking! Otherwise they tend to just look at the image and say it’s fine.

2nd page contains the proof and spec.

I’m happy with an e-mail explicitly saying they’re happy with it.

    Cheers David, Thats great.

We have something similar on a printed version but we get a lot of jobs we approve online via email.

Looking to create something as a digital version and then get a digital signature as approval from client.

Would make life a lot easier.

    Hi Tehmoor,

We use shopvox to handle our whole business from loading a lead to completing a job and adding courier details.

One of the things shopvox does really well is proofs, you can send proofs directly from the software to client and they get sent through the approvals online and its all saved against the job sheet.

See example screenshot showing how the email arrives at client side

    Hi James,

Im looking at getting a good CRm system for signage.

Some Years Ago, Clarity said they cant run on Mac and i also found it quite complicated to begin with at the Demo we had.

I did like Shop Vox demo @ the Sign Expo, seemed quite user friendly.

    Whats your thoughts on ShopVox?

    Regards

I use a design template I created (saved in illustrator with water marks, spec etc..) this is then saved and opened in adobe sign (£10 pcm) and emailed directly to the purchaser. Adobe sign offers the user to digital sign and initial other pages. This creates a e-signature with date stamp and then sends a copy to the signee and requester. Since using this system I have not had any issue with fault / blames etc. It also stores the visuals for future reference. The whole process from design completed to email is around 60 seconds.
