  • Delivery company for sheet signs

    Hi all

I’m wondering if anyone has any good experiences of a delivery company for large flat panel signs.

Will be mostly dibond up to 8ft x 4ft sheets.

I realise I’ll have to pack them incredibly well to have even the remotest chance of survival!

If anyone has any advice then that would be hugely appreciated

    Regards

    Alex

Have you got a price for delivery, we found the cost was quite high, so never bothered sending signs this way.

We get our sheets from Europoint, they deliver the sheets flat and still there are damages. Corners knock, even with protective plastic on them. I suspect knowing how the delivery companies treat smaller parcels there’s very little chance of the sign getting there undamaged.

Depending on how far you need to send it, you could always use a same day courier, who will collect from you and take it straight to your customer. They are expensive, but if it’s not a crazy distance away it can work out well. Saves on so much packaging too!

Tuffnells take most sizes others courier wouldn’t. You would need to set up an account with them though, hope this helps

We have sent large panels (not full sheets) out using DPD local, there is a freight option, costs about £30.

On top of that, you really need to package it up so it can survive a fall from the moon, and that’s not cheap either.

We’ve also subbed out print to companies who are more local and can deliver on our behalf, works our cheaper and means no damage.
