    Hello

Ive put a price into a local dealership to renew his signage and he thinks its a bit pricey! What would you charge?

1 8000 x 700 and two 3050 x 700 coloured composite with one colour of 12 meters of vinyl applied.

Supplied and delivered maybe about 10 miles away.

I will post what i quoted but would like other peoples opines first.

    Thanks again

    Martin

    Length of vinyl added!

you don’t say how many metres of vinyl.

    rough guess?

8m x .7 and 2x 3050x.7 is the equivelant of 4x 3m x 1.5m sheets, cheap hoarding i’d do around £120 (at least double the panel cost anyways) a panel

    so maybe £480 for panels,

12 m of cut/weeded/taped/applied vinyl at 600 wide, minimum charge out at £12.50pm if large words, more if smaller. so around £150

    delivery prob £25.

so, a minimum of £655 delivered. i wouldn’t expect to lose the job at that price either.

if installing then £25ph. if the job looks tricky or the customer an ar5e then £35ph. i usually include fixings unless expensive and specialised.

    Thanks for the reply Hugh

Am abit more expensive then you. I came in at just over the 7 hundred mark. but it was good to see how you work out your prices. I came to the same price for the boards but charged more for the vinyl. plus there was a design fee.

    Thanks again.

I came in at £764 + delivery on a quick work out using my normal prices for composite, I don’t normally get the cheaper stuff so I don’t know the price for it.
Didn’t include any design time either.

Martin, problem with dealerships is that they always seem to expect everything for nothing, I’ve had a few ask for prices because they have been let down by other companies and have always been told that the other guy was cheaper.
My answer has always been that if you want a decent service then I am afraid you will have to pay for it.
Depends how much you want the work I suppose, I don’t do any work for any dealerships because I’m not prepared to work for nothing.

Theres the answer, the other guy let you down, that’s why he was cheaper! Probably realised he couldn’t do the job at the price he quoted and decided not to play!

Or as Henry Ford once said you can have any colour you want as long as it’s Black
