Dave sent me this to have a look at, and I had to share…….

His traditional signage is just awesome but he’s annoyingly very good at the digital imaging too…..

    Fantastic 😀

always loved Dave’s work, he has to be one of the best in the world without a doubt. there is so much detail in his traditional work…

I always thought he kept to the traditional side of things though, but this photoshop work is superb… (thats if he is actually using photoshop)
the pink and white closed roses are amazing, very lifelike…

    thanks for posting Andrew…

Awesome 😮 I’ve been a fan of Dave’s work for as long as I can remember.

He also invented a tool for loose leaf gilding called a The Smith Tip, which, if any of the painter types on here are into gilding you ought to give it a try.

Again, these images are incredible. Have to take my hat off to the guy.

Be interesting to see how He (capital H cos he’s a God when it comes too gold leaf work) does this????

    Thanks for posting Andrew

    Gorgeous.
Dave Smith is a true master in my opinion because he is able to embrace both the traditional aspect as well as the modern.
The really neat advantage that he has is that he can still produce gorgeous work even if the electricity goes out.
    😉

    Hey
Thanks everyone much appreciate your comments on my artwork.
It actually took over 100 hours to complete with various changes of sketches throughout until I arrived at the end design. Photo shop was used for all the work while the vector I like to use Omega. It was made in between other jobs so as not to get to tired of the same project.
Thanks again.and thanks to Andrew for posting it here.
