Right. no touched the cutter for over a year, so i may be missing something daft here…… i got a ct-630 a few years back i used to design in artcut 2006 and use pltdraw for running the cutter, found it nice and easy + had no problems for the bits + bobs that i do.

anyway i lost the disk for pltdraw, (anyone wants to sell me a copy for beer money would be much appreciated :p) + artcut only wants to install in Chinese (but just ordered a new copy of this)
so….. i downloaded the trial of signgo to see me till im sorted….. but its cutting things all weird, wrong shapes + not finishing off letters.

*new blade installed + set at 0.25mm offset (as instructed by blade packaging)
    * scales are all set the same as are baud rates etc…..

i just dont know why its doing what it is 🙁 see pics.

this is how its coming out, you can see the ripped bits where the letters arent finnished. + the wierd shape of the E at the top.

this is how it is on the screen.

can anyone help? even if its just a copy of pltdraw + tell me where i can get it :p

Looks like an offset problem to me. try different settings and see if it gets better or worse.

That is some offset problem, are you sure the language is correct ie hpgl or dmpl or whatever the plotter uses.

more likely that the material is buckling as it moves backwards and forwards.

not touched it for 12 mts, so the cutting strip and platen is dirty and the backing paper is sticking to it.

pissed about with the offset + got no where. stripped the cutter down, cleaned the wheels + guide lubed with a bit of silicone, pulley was slightly loose on the roller, so removed, cleaned, put some bearing lock on it and tightened up, dont know if its made much difference as got bored and spent the day paragliding instead :p will try tomorrow 🙂

So not really an important issue then?
