• Cutting Panatrim

    Hi peeps,

What’s the best tool for cutting panatrim ??

I have got a small chopsaw & it does do the job ok but worrying if the blade is going to “snag” the Alli is always a consideration 😕

I can’t get an Alli cutting blade for the saw I have (190mm / 24mm centre) so am stuck with using the 24 tooth blade !

Is it safe ?? Your opinions ??

Hi Sparky, I wouldn’t be cutting ally framing with a wood blade, you will probably get away with it for a while but you will soon knacker the blade and then it wont be any good for cutting at all. If you know any engineering firms they could probably make you a bush for a couple of quid if you can’t buy a 24mm bore blade. You really need a blade with negative rake for cutting ally If you can’t get a 190mm blade I know screwfix do a 185mm blade.
