i see questions come up for cutting master for the graphtec cutters.

really does any body use it.
i hate it with a passion and can’t see how this can be a professional tool.

so if you do use it and like it please say why.
do you use the alignment tools.

    hi Jason
what do you mean by plug in

i use the windows printer driver which suits me but as i understand it graphtec keep telling people to use CM.

oh then there is the plotter controller who uses that,

It’s just a driver in illustrator, apple key and ‘M’ and off it goes. It is listed in the file menu as cutting master.

    Is that what you mean?

I use it sometimes, trouble is after you have used Signlab for cutting you realise how very poor CM is and it is invariably quicker to to cut and paste from Draw into SL and cut. Apparently CM is a cut down part of Flexi but I can only assume it works better in Flexi.

I use it because I don’t know of any alternative.

CM is average, doesn’t like things like Groups etc…
    and cutting pages

but for a Corel addon, it’s fine

some isuess with the corel script side to it… i love to modify it but i cant find the time

It uses something that makes scripts run fast but when it goes wrong it doesn’t put Corel back to normal, so u end up with Corel going funky when selecting

used it to run from corel on one of the cutters, it wasn’t great it was very glitchy but did the job, prefer signlab, didnt have time to worry about it, needed the cutters and printers to work at the same time 😀

I’ve used Flexi since version 5 and it’s cutting programme is called Production Manager.

    CM, never used it.

When CM runs the flash screen comes up with Scanvec Amiable Production manager, but as I say it must run better in Flexi. The only thing worthy of note in it is the ‘automatic weld’ which is very good and I wish Signlab had it, the rest of it I’m not so keen on and it is slow depending on the number of objects on the page although to be fair that just may be the way it works with Corel.
Dave if you can improve it please do so, in it present guise it’s not so good compared to other solutions.

john if you are only cutting a few words its fine, but to cut a whole van i think its slow and awkward.
the alternatives are the windows printer driver which i think is basic but cuts straight off the corel page.

so anybody use the alignment tools for the graphtec print and cut with the marks.

do you find the cm method easy enough.
