  • Cutting 1mm foamed pvc

Hi all, we have a new evolution e2 from keencut, however we have to cut some 200 100/35 cm stripes from big foamed pvc boards. How do you usually do it? I can’t get it cut from the supplier since he uses saw and it breaks the 1mm.

    Thanks

i have wall saw and excaliber but never tried this thin… sorry…

have guilotine and as much as i would imagine it to work, i havent tried. sure it would though. if you know anyone that does this sort of thing, guilotining, ide imagine it working fine. either that or trade router service but imagine more expensive.
trade routering , fabricut, advert on homepage?

I did a few the same size from foamex using a correx cutter http://www.jagsignsupplies.com/aqshop/c … hp?id=1338.
I have also used a trim cutter (stanley blade mounted toa straight edge) to cut 3mm strips for packing, clamp it onto the 1mm board and it should not be a problem, regards Graham S

stack the sheets and cut with a circular saw, would probably look at doing around 10 at a time but more if you can get away with it. Tape the sheets up with masking tape first if you think they might slip slightly.

    Rob, Graham, Gavin thanks.
I will try stack them up and use the saw though i am afraid it will still break them. Finally if it doesnt work guess i’d have to do it manually in the end, and use a knife or the evolution, no magic solutions.

    Thanks
