Cut out single solid (flat) letters?
never done these before, never been asked for them!
A customer wants solid letters fixed to a wall, no backboard sign to fix them to just single letters screwed into the brick wall, how do you do it, you must make a template of some discription to enable you to drill and fix into the wall so they all all straight and equally spaced ?
Anyone know where I could buy the whole lot, cut out letters and all fixings needed as I don’t really know what I need for this job.I’d try to convince him of a different sign but nothing ventured nothing gained and I for one would like to know how to do it just in case I’m asked again

It really depends on what type and size of letters he wants and what surface they will be applied to.
MDF letters for instants can have brass studs fixed into the back, then matching holes drilled into the wall, fill these holes with grip fill/no nails or silicone and push letter into place, clean off excess silicone and its done.
If the wall is flat rendered locator fixings could be used.

Get yourself a copy of a sign mag, there are loads of trade only letter cutters out there.
If you post exactly what materials you wish to use and the finish as well we can all advise you. If you do have any problems i can cut them, spray them or whatever finish, provide the fixings and a drilling template. We have a AXYZ 6010 router. 3x2m vacuum bed with auto tool changer so there are only a few (and i havent found them yet but we will) things we cannot do.
We have done alot of 100mm acrylic letters with brass locators and then sprayed to finish. If colours came in 10mm all the better (only in 5mm) but we spray them after and get a great finish and effect. Especially when you put a chamfer on the edges.

Make then 10mm and upwards. Can you imagine the price of 100mm acrylic sheet.
