OK so no one wants to help me with my printing problem 🙁 so I will just have to lose the contract close up shop and sign on.

Here is an easier one for you before I go and fill in all the forms to claim my incone support.

Customer has sent me a file created in Paint Shop Pro and they are not really sure how to send it to me (nor am I)so I can play with the layers/change it. I have received it as eps, tiff and jpeg but it doesn’t appear in layers in photoshop.

    Any ideas please.

    Hi Dave,

I have both programs but only really use Photoshop. I just had a look at Paint Shop Pro and there is the option to save files as Photoshop.psd. Providing the original is in layers to start with this should then work in Photoshop.

    Good luck.

Before you go and sign on….
As a jpg etc it will not come in layers, they always flated the layers. With a tiff it may be able to be in layers… but it will depend how they save it.
It sounds to me that they are flattening all the layers as they save it..
    Cheers

Thanks guys, I did tell them to keep it in layers, but they are used to web stuff only and were not too sure what to save it as. I will ask them to save as photoshop file with layers, tomorrow and see what happens.

Trouble is I am up to my eyes in work and deadlines, and struggling to keep up, so when you have to spend time messing about with other peoples files it just drives me crazy (hot) (:) .
