Customer know it all rant
Just before Christmas a customer comes into the shop asking for magnetics for his van.
It was quite apparent that this person was claiming unemployment benefits and working. He classed his self as a multi trade, he had a huge list of the jobs he did that he wanted put on. Things like wallpapering, cleaning windows, fixing taps, lawn mowing etc etc.Due to the size of the magnetics he wanted it was cheaper to letter the van direct and he got a bigger design hit on his van.
Anyway, he comes in yesterday with his mate, wanting mags for his car, I recognise him and say hi, he immediately jumps in and says he’s stripped off the vinyl on his van after two weeks as it didn’t get him any work…..
I asked if he’s still doing what he did and does he still have the van, yes to both questions.I snapped back, it’s certainly not getting you any jobs now.
i was in a daze all day after that, on how stupid some folk are

Love a rant.
I have a retail store to which has a barber that’s moving out. He’s not using us for his new sign as we won’t give "mates rates" or do him a favour. I believe he got the bill in the other day and from another local sign shop and was shocked.
We’ve always done bits for him at trade. Bit of a kick on the teeth but hey ho. Saves a load of hassle and adding to a hectic work load for no gain.

If he is claiming unemployment benefits and then covers his van in information of services he offers. he is clearly thick in the first place! 😆
The penny has probably dropped or someone with half a brain has gave him some advice and made him decide to strip it before he was caught. 😆
embarrassed by his own stupidity and unable to come up with a good excuse for removal, he blurts out "it wasn’t working for him".So he re-appears to enlighten you with "writing on a vehicle doesn’t work to help promote your business", while his mate buys mag panels to do the very same thing… idiot! 😆
