Temporay sign frames that I hire the frames for

Kids Zone is a holiday promotion and only has to last 6 weeks.

All Kids Zone signs are laminated in a matt finish and applied to black fourex so as no white is showing

1600 x 1800 perspex face, signed in a matt finish and laminate. This was the only sign that went to plan. 🙁

Originally was supply only, but was asked to fit it when I delivered it. The frames were already made before I got there.

When I supplied this one, the guys that built the frame misread the specs. It was way too short for the frame.

At 8 o’clock at night, fitting by car headlights, I’d had enough, I was not happy 😮

This was sized wrong by the advertising company. Went to fit it at night in the croc pit 😮 to find the sign was too short again. Had all the specs in writing so I was covered. The advertising co had decided to reduce the length, but omitted to tell everyone. We made it fit, but does not look really professional

The carpenters only used non treated pine too, so I suspect this will need reframing in the not too distant future

I did this on my own… everything went to plan…. Had to do 24 units in 2 days.

All these signs were fitted on december 24th. It was a long day considering I thought I was only having to deliver them. Fotunately I’d taken a mate with me for the ride. He is a carpenter, so was a good guy to have. He also had more meat on him, so I figured the crocs would go for him first. 😛

Well done Shane, they look excellent, and I love the humour! 😀

regarding the signs not looking ‘professional’ because of the sizing-that is not your fault, and anyway, it’s only your professional eye, and because you know they are wrong,- no-one else would ever know unless you told them! (:)

    Thanks Friends….

The humour was not my doing, but the advertising company’s… it is good tho… They carry it thru to all the advertising on buses,TV and brochures.

I guess I am being a bit paranoid…. All I did was print their artwork, but it was annoying that they didn’t spec it properly because the buck stopped at me. Spoke to the CEO, and she was really understanding, but I’m annoyed that something so simple went so wrong.

They have got more work for me so I suppose they must have been happy with the end result.

    Cheers again.

I love that bottom one in the first set, Shane.
I think it really pops on that black background.
    Love….Jill

I thought so too Jill. This agency is one of those hi powered type that charge for everything.

When you ring them you have to leave a message so they ring you back.

When they do call, they have a stop watch and time the duration. I rang them to give them a piece of my mind about the stuff ups, and it cost my client money! 😮

OK if you can get away with it.

But they do produce some fantastic stuff I must say…. The creative people are a little bit loopy in my opinion, but you can’t talk to them usually, you have to go thru a go-between (the guy with the stop watch)

As usual Shane, very nice work.

Can I be really cheeky. Could I get a copy of the train image. My two year old is mad about trains and that would go nicely in his bedroom 😀
