As the title says what’s the current choice on A4 dye sub printers with bulk systems (and suppliers).
I’ve seen the Epson 1400 and the Ricoh on Xpres but both are too much for the little that we do and I only need an A4 not A3.
I used to have an Epson 1260 with bulk but it got left with the ink higher than the printer and it emptied into the printer and ruined it, now I need to look at a new printer before it’s needed nearer christmas 🙄

Anyway any pointers would be great thanks

Having looked I think Louises’ setup would suit me better, I don’t think you can get the R285 anymore, couldn’t find any online anyway so I’d rather get a printer that’s current.

Were did you get your inks Louise? And did you get a profile with them?

    Thanks

Ricoh printers are better than Epson for sub inks. Less blocked heads which are very common with Epson printers.

    Hi Stephen..

I just buy mine from ebay and fill up my bulk system with them as they start to run out…..

    I’m not sure about profiles…….

If this means anything i just have to set my pink ink down to -20 and the colours seem to be fine…..(no complaints anyway)

    Cheers.. 🙂
