Can’t you just layer this up and use transparency with the objects?

I’ve never done this in coreldraw but in photoshop, as Jason said, its bevel and emboss.

Hi John
Have a look at this software, it is fairly cheap and works great for these types of logos.

John
create the basic artwork in Coreldraw, then rasterise. Then edit in Corel Paint to add the bevel, you should be able to create the effect you want. You can get the effect in Flexi by using Alien Skin plugins, same plugins as Photoshop uses.Kev

Knocked up in Illustrator and Photoshop CS3, without the aid of any plug-ins. Basically creating the vectors in Illustrator, pasting into Photoshop as a smart object then applying a standard style.
Anyone know of an Illustrator plug-in to create this kind of effect? Creating it as a scaleable eps would be great. I’m sure there must be one, off to have a search now…

Looks good Chris but as said dont have PS so will have a go tomorrow as Kevin suggests that may work.
Thanks for the link Phil
Cheers everyone 😀

John…….this isn’t a very technical answer and would involve a fair bit of trial and error but I would tackle this by looking at the shapes of the highlight etc…………create them by overlapping two offset elipses, trim them and then use the drop shadow tool to get the soft highlight effects (keeping the feathering down to 2 or 3 maybe)
I’m sorry I haven’t got time to show you in pictures what I mean
