I usually do all my design in Corel 12, however the principles should be the same. In Corel I would create an additional layer over the graphic and lay all the detail out to get the alignment similar. For something like that I would create the two ellipses first and align them to each other. At this point I may create a 3rd central ellipse for the text, however in this case I would align the text to the inner ellipse and adjust the offset to create the space.

Once done, the ellipses are broken up to allow the remainder of the graphics to be inserted.

Hopefully this will point you in the right direction.

Try drawing the ovals then type the text then if you go Transform fit text to arc or select the text and one of the ovals then Transform fit text to path.

    got it in the end.

made an ellipse then put text to path and twigged with the settings.

i was trying the arc method first couldn’t get anywhere with that.

Scott, I don’t have the same Signlab version you do,but I got a download thingy from the Cadlink site that enables you to launch Signlab from your Corel programme.
Don’t know if that’s any good to you 😕 😕

Its basically a cut and paste shortcut, its been in signlab since version 5, I think. but I have had a few problems when using it, I find it better to export from corel, then import to signlab,,

sorry its not a corel programme i have its cut studio come free when you buy a cutter of roland.

the programme will only save as (*.cst ) format you Carnot export of it but you can import .eps .ai

need a way to open (*.cst) in sign lab

hope this had made it more clearer and hope there’s a way of doing it
