Posted by Neil Churchman on November 6, 2008 at 5:15 pmanyone know if such a thing exists that can round off the corners of 3mm DiBond, just to finish of the sign, and so peeps don’t stab themselves on the corners 😮

Draw an arc, hacksaw off the points close to the line and file to shape.

Rotozip rotary tool with angle grinder attachment,
with a 2p piece stuck on the corners with double sided tape, very effective.
Or you could try it like Me and Peter M did once when I didn’t have a rotozip and needed rounded corners in a hurry, and use a grinder in the wind, balanced on a black and decker workmate and one hold the corner of a 3 metre sheet of dibond onto the wheel, and one walk round the grinder until it falls off into your arm (not mine) and gashes it quite deeply.
LOLGo with the rotozip every time now. :lol1:

I Got the CR1 from Jag with an extra larger cutter….Brilliant.
Use it constantly.. Got 100 di-bond panels coming tomorrow and wouldn’t like to "file" or jigsaw that lot. Also you get a nice clean cut and no swarf that you would get filing or jigsawing.

I brought the Warrior from Joyce and Co (Peter’s link) cuts dibond with ease. Comes supply with a 6mm radius corner rounder. Haggle though, usualyy go for 80.00 not 115.00 as on their site

thanks to everyone for the replies – seems there’s quite a few to choose from depending on how much you want to spend.
we normally just use the file to round off the corners, but as some of you pointed out in the responses, this can leave feathered edges and let’s be honest, no one wants to file off 200 corners on 50 signs with a file 🙁
once again this forum has proved to be a gold mine of information and help – well done mods 😀
