I’d be very grateful if somebody could help me with this CorelDraw file I’ve had from a client.

The font is apparently Corel’s DauphinPlain, I’d appreciate someone converting it to curves and saving it as an *.eps for me.

    Thanks for your help.

CorelDRAW version number above the one I’ve got 😮 I presume you can’t access the file, or don’t have CorelDRAW to convert it?

Sorry gang, I should have been clearer.

I don’t have CorelDraw, I use Illustrator which will import /open CD files, but this is still text, and I haven’t got the correct font, so I get a font substitution to something quite horrible.

Plus, I get the impression it would be quite a struggle to get my client to do the “convert to curves” bit herself ‘cos by her own admission she has no idea, and I think the most recent version of CD I used was 5!

This is a jpg of the image

That’s perfect Peter, thanks a lot.

It even included the (I presume unintentional) clipping path that scapled the bottom of the “y” 😀

A shifty alternative is to get her to prepare the file for service bureau. Really simple to do and all the instructions are on the screen, so its fool proof. If all else fails, might be worth it. Just open the file in CoreDRAW, then go to File, then to Prepare For Service Bureau. It’ll export all the fonts and related items connected with the CorelDRAW doc 😀

    Cheers, Dewi
