    Hi

Have recently upgraded to Corel X4 from Corel 12

I seem to have some problems with PDFs both into and out of x4

For instance when bringing a file into X4 the colours come in very vibrant so li a dull green in pdf will come in as vivid lime

When producing a pdf from X4 the reverse happens a bright colour in X4 ends up as a dull colour on PDF

I can take the same files into corel 12 on the same computer and no issues in or out.

Also a pdf created from X4 would be say 4mb wheras the same pdf from 12 would be 1mb

any help gratefully received as this is driving me mad

    Thanks

    Colin

when saving to pdf you can alter the settings to reduce the image qualities, as default it is set to high

    Hi Colin,
It might be converting to CMYK instead of RGB. To change this go to make a pdf, then bottom right of the pdf save box there’s a settings button. Click on this then advanced tab and change to RGB if its CMYK.

    Cheers John

I’m with John, ensure the colour management is the same in X4 as it was in V12. X4 pdf handling is better but what you view is sorted in colour management under the tools tab
