Hi wonder if you can please help.

Was working fine last week and not sure If I have changed any settings but when trying to trace a simple logo the program will not allow me to select any more than one colour in the colour mode setting and as such only get a red box – see attached pic.

When I increase the number of colours it just reverts back to 1.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Russ

just been playing with mine seams ok. i export the image as a jpeg and re import so to try and remove a possible fault in the file.

anyway i hope that logo was just for the exercise as it should be redrawn to make it correct for use. power trace has its uses not for that.

Thanks Chris – tried your suggestion but to no avail – it seems to do it with any image I throw at it.

Yes the logo was just an example.

Guess best to reinstall the program and see if that sorts it but was hoping to avoid that course of action.

    Hi,

Do a search you can reset it back to default settings on starting the program cant remember how but it was posed not long ago. Something to do with F4 I think.

Press F8 on start up to reset to default.

    Thank you for your replies.

I reset the program to default using the F8 key but unfortunately this did not resolve the issue – same as before

    quote Dave Rowland:

is your bitmap a multichannel/lab bitmap?

If I am being honest Dave I am not sure as I don’t know the difference. It does the same on jpegs and bitmaps with the same result – just resorts back to 1 colour.

    Thanks
