  • Copyright infringement or not??

Posted by Stuart Green on April 19, 2010 at 12:19 pm

I have always done this but never asked. I have a customer who stocks Dulux and Vaillant boilers. He wants 2 banners. 1 with Dulux and 1 with Vaillant logos on them. Is it copyright infringement to print these??

    Thank you!

    Stu 🙂

yes, but if your client stocks the products, he will be able to get hold of the official artwork and guides to their use. and also get the banners signed off by them.

Technically yes, but I doubt that you would get into trouble if you are making them for an authorised dealer.

Watch the Vaillant one though. Their logo has recently (within the last month or two) changed. Not great differences, and perhaps hardly anyone would notice, but you might as well get it right. There are now also separate print and cut versions.
