    Hi

Has anyone used the services of Peninsula regarding Employment Tribunials.

We had a visit from them today, and im not sure if this is a good idea or not, he focused much on Employee Contracts.

Or has anyone have a new Contract that I may look at, this must be one issued after Oct last year, I’m not after what you earn lol 😳

I just would like to see if what i am being advised is correct.

Did any of what i wrote make sense? Coz im confused!! (as always)

    Can anyone help me

    Vince

I had to use Penninsula a couple of years ago when i was taken to tribunal by a member of staff. They did all the paperwork and managed to get them to accept an out of court settlement of £500 which was covered by the insurance policy

It was well worth it for me

BTW the member of staff was short on the till on several occassions and when i took it from their wages(as per contract) they sacked themselves and took me for unfair dismissal.

Oh the joys of being an employer

Thanks for that, they did say they covered the costs through insurance, but they have quoted me almost £200 per month, which seems expensive to me.

Is there an insurance policy on the market which covers the same?

I guess i am lucky, i have never had a problem in the 6 years i have had the company, but i guess you never know.

From what he said to me though, it does seem stacked against an employer, makes you wonder at times, is it worth empolying people? But i prob would only sack myself!!! 🙄

I own a restaurant where we use penninsula, reluctantly, and we pay £84+ vat a month. They tailored the contracts and stationary to suit the business and although we were strongly advised by my accountant to use the service, I felt they were a hard sell, but in this day and age it is must have if you employ people IMHO. good luck dougiedot
