    Morning all,

We are having serious issues with our vp540i not cutting through vinyl with laminate.

We have replaced the blade, cutting strip is also newish.

    I’m trying to cut 6 logos on a about 1000 x 1300.

Test cut is fine, force is set at 200, speed 18, offset 250.

It cuts the first few logos fine, then it just stops.

I have also noticed when i check the force whilst its cutting it reverts to 30!!

I’m going crazy, ive a pile of prints to cut and customers going crazy!!

Anyone have any help! desperatly needed!!

When I contour cut using my cadet the pressure is set up on the machines local panel, but I notice there are options in the RIP software to control the pressure settings.

Sounds to me like one is over riding the other?

I had the same issue as Phil solved it by ticking the check box that used the plotter settings rather than the software.

We’ve had a problem with our VP lately. It is now out of warranty but I phoned Roland for a bit of advice. One of their tech guys called me back and spent a good while talking me through some possible solutions. We managed to figure it out and got it back up and running. A week later he rang me back – just to make sure everything was still ok!

I know it is a bit off-topic but I was thoroughly impressed with their service. To get a service like that when your machine was in warranty would be great, but out of warranty is just awesome. The guys have always went that extra mile and are always happy to help.

if you tick the check box surely you are using the software setting and if you uncheck it you are using the plotter settings???
