  • Contour cut bitmap image in FlexiSign?

Posted by erik on February 12, 2009 at 5:20 pm

    Hello…

I use FlexiSign with Roland SC-500.
It cut’s perfect contour around vector objects, like logos,.. etc

Does anybody know how to cut contour around bitmap image (not rectanular). I have some car photos on white surface and I want to cut
    contour around.

    Any idea?

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi
ensure you have the bitmap tool bar up (right click tool bar the tick bitmap tool bar). Use the magic wand to select the white area then go to Bitmap menu 7 convert marquee to shape. You can the apply the contour cut to the shape, separate the contour then delete the shape. You can also use the shape to mask the bitmap & contour cut that way.

    Hope it helps

    Hi Dean

Look at the various levels available, consider what you would like to have available to you, and affordability.

Although you can’t see them as a non-paid up member, the amount of learning resources available to Gold-plus members is amazing. It’s not just a load of old drivel, for newish start-ups and ‘proper’ Sign-makers working alone this forum is (from experience) a real life-saver, and a business saver too, because of the support you will get as a proper member.

If you are making purchases on vinyl and boards then UKSG membership will give discounts on purchases with certain suppliers. You also get to send & receive PM’s, see other’s www sites and email addys.
UKSG is designed for real communication between serious signmakers.

I had questions when I first found this site, and asked what I would get for my money, got told the same as you, ie, just ‘do it’. I did, signed up for UKSG and have never for a second regretted it.

Hope this makes things clearer for you, and anyone else hovering on the sidelines!

    Lorraine
