comparisons please with graphiflex with victorys hot mark?
Posted by Alan Drury on January 27, 2005 at 5:03 pmHas anybody compared the Graphityp-Graphiflex PU (the one you iron over) with Victory’s Hot Mark. I have been using Hot Mark for ages and although it is very good you can’t iron over it, the Graphiflex PU sample seems ok but you can never really tell durability wise until it gets in the hands of the customer for a while.

Ive tried the graphiflex PU, doesnt iron well, too much friction when dragging the iron over in my opinion. 😕

We use Victory hotmark, we used it for the logo on our work tops and we iron over it ok ….. plenty of steam as you do so, it limits the risk of sticking.
Carrie 😀
Edit: although I have ironed over it, I wouldnt tell our customers that. I always recommend to our customers to reverse iron areas with print….. better safe than sorry as they say 😀

We have been using Hotmark from Victory for over a year and have never had one returned.
I think most people these day know not to iron over a print whatever method of application or material.
However we still mention to our clients not to iron the print.
Hi Carrie, are you going to printwear n promotion? Hopefully Jules and I are driving up from Cornwall and it would be great to have a bit of a get together with others from the boards.

Hi Alan
Why not give Glynn a call at Victory – 01246 570570. He’ll give you all the info you’ll need

I have spoken to Victory and there is a range of settings, I was just curious what settings work for other folk and if Hot Mark had been compared to other products. I like Hot Mark, other manufacturers have similar products and they evolve and improve if I could get the ease of weeding, opacity and feel of Hot Mark with the ability to iron over, it would be just about the perfect product.
