Coloured Screws – Self Drilling

Thanks for the Link Gary, I might order some to give them a try.
I use a lot of tech screws with the HEX head bit for driving it, does the star head work just as well or does it thread itself if taping into hard surfaces?

Hi Rob, yes they work just the same, self drilled the profile head is thin so they look very good, they also sold me a magnetic screw holder, never used one before they work really good to.

I have never quite worked out why the UK never cottoned on to Robinson [ square drive ] screws.
They just work.

I have the square drill bit for driving those screws in my drill case, Simon. but I don’t think I have ever seen the screws to try them. 🤔

I’ve ordered some but, I have concerns.

• I haven’t had an emailed confirmation
• There are no telephone numbers on the website
• The email address is a Gmail address
• There doesn’t seem to be a facility on the site to create an account or log in to one.
• There is no company address on the site

If the owner of this company sees this, it doesn’t give you much confidence in your company.

To be fair I didn’t look that far into the company.
I just ordered online and they arrived a few days later. Their online chat thingy worked fine for me.

I chatted with them and pointed out the minor issues (more to help them install some confidence when ordered than anything else). They said that the website is new so, hopefully they’ll make some changes.

My order should be here today. They look good. I’ll report back.

Recieved my screws today. Tested them and really happy with them. They hold on to the screw driver bit really well and don’t wobble around. They also drill into metal very well. I’ll be ordering more.
