  • Coloured correx fluted plastic sheet.

    Hi gang.

I am back to pick your brains! 😀

i have a large stage background in a theatre to do and it involves lots of coloured lightweight fluted plastic boards with large bold text and some images on them. i dont really want to have to print and layup all these sheets on my own. (it would take me forever and i would make a mess of them😬) so i was thinking it must be easier if i can buy the sheets in the colours i need and just apply the text in cut vinyl.
Most are Yellow, some Red and a few Blue.
has anyone done this before or know where i can buy coloured fluted boards? (correx)

thanks very much for any help.

    Lx ❤

Pyramid used to do coloured correx, so it might be worth trying them.

Vink also sells correx but I am not sure about it in colours. https://www.vink.com

Hi Leslie, have you ever thought of something like this?

Whilst the 51″ is out of stock here I’m sure you could get one elsewhere.
This would allow you to roll coloured vinyl onto a plain white sheet of material. It’s a cheap and cheerful machine at a fraction of the cost of a 10-grand rollover table. It allows you to apply graphics to your sheets without the need to try to squeegee them on.

If you are buying it as coloured sheets, I would suggest trying @GrahamScanlan at Pyramid first.

I could be wrong, but I do not think Vink does colours, white and black only (I think). I am sure I enquired about this through them a couple of years ago.

There are places like Trent Plastics you will find doing a Google search, but I just looked at the prices and for 4mm they are charging more than double what i would expect to pay for the same. https://www.trentplastics.co.uk

      Thanks Rob,

This prompted me to compare the Pyramid Website to the competitions and I’ve got to say the Pyramid’s site looks very usable in comparison. And with more features coming at the end of the year

thank you so much guy, i really appreciate everyone’s help and advice. 🤩
once i gave more accurate costs to my customer, they decided they would use their own boards and basically have the handyman paint them! so all i had to do was apply lettering and prints. which i was quite glad of in the end.
if i get another enquiry for the coloured sheets i will also try Pyramid, thanks graham. 👍

    thanks again everyone ❤
