  • coloured acrylic or di bond for raised letters ?

Posted by Robert Scullion on September 13, 2005 at 7:09 am

    Hi guys

Got a customer who wants some raised letters, thes are going onto a wooden facia, am I better getting them cut from di bond or acrylic ?

Are there any benefits one way or the other ?

Also, can you people advise best source/range of coloured acrylics and who best to obtain fixings from

    Thanks

    Bob

Do you mean raised or offset flat cut? for flat cut
I would use acrylic, simply because the edge will match the face in colour.
Most suppliers of cut letters will also supply the fixings already in place along with a paper template to fix them to fascia.

Only real reason to use dibond would be for the metal effects available.

Any routing supplier should be able to give you the complete kit- shop around tho cos prices vary quite a bit
