One of three vehicles we have to wrap for the 5 weeks of the Commonwealth games, and then we strip it all off.

This is the first of three. We started the second one this afternoon.

Cadburys sent me all the artwork and I manipulated the layers etc ( 25+) in Photoshop to fit the vehicle. and put the joins where we need them.

After flattening the image, by the way one side of the coach at 72dpi was approx 1400mb!!!. made the g4 think!!!. We sent the files off for printing. I think the prints were output at 58 dpi.

Approx 80 square metres of material so I did not fancy listening to a gerber edge for ever and ever and ever…….

My two partners took 3 days to apply the prints.

    All outputted on KPMF removable

i also use v-wrap tim. what types have you tried.
i have used mostly 3M & mactac. but not kpmf, how do you find it?

if you dont mind me asking. what kind of price do you get per metre for kpmf v-wrap @ 1230 wide?

We have used 3m Controltac , which performs really well. Never used
mactac wrap. We needed to use KPMF as it is removable.

Not to sure about the price, the total cost for the 80 metres
    was £2500.

You will have to do the maths….. but I think It works out at about £28 per sq. metre.

On the second coach we had the prints supplied without application
tape and the second coach ,I just heard, will be finished in about
    16 hours in total.

Front and backto do tomorrow and the trimming up etc…

hi tim… when you say you pay £28 for 1230 wide by a metre…..is that with the digital printing or without? if its without what would you expect to pay for the vinyl per metre alone at 1230 wide(?)
