  • Cleaning plotter cut vinyl

    Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help regarding wording?

Has anyone got any wording prepared for the cleaning of intricate plotter cut graphics that I can include on a method statement. Someone has just gone over a pattern we recently applied and lifter a load of edges.
I was going to suggest cleaning by a duster only?

    Thanks in advance

    Andrew 😀

I feel your pain – had a customer insist on some French Script text, two weeks later he steam washed half of them off… my fault of course!

"Plotter cut graphics, particularly those with small details, can be delicate.
Please use care when cleaning. Do not use a pressure washer or steam cleaner on vehicle graphics, and for small signs, carefully dust with a feather duster or soft lint-free cloth"

Definitely a lint-free cloth, as even the edges of the vinyl will catch bits of fluff.
    Jill’s wording sounds good 😀

Using a sans serif font will help.
