Don’t worry about it Chris, it’s only a matter of time before someone has a major accident & it gets banned.
I can just see the insurance reports now. " While driving I was blinded by a huge mobile mirror speeding the other way" :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

    Hah!
That would still be a better excuse for an accident than most in this town 😕

That’s a similar price to the Hexis one.

    You’re not wrong.

Better not ruin a 5 metre piece down the side 😛

    Ghais

We have just introduced Avery Conform Chrome into our specialty films range in Europe, your local Avery Dennison Graphics supplier should be getting stock soon, please contact them for information.

The product is designed for creating vehicle accents, such as highlighting wing mirrors or grills. It is not a wrap film, although obviously as the link that Quentin posted shows, with extra care and skill some applicators have achieved a full vehicle wrap.

Tips and techniques for installation are here
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3EHb-iB … re=related

It has already been said, but if you intend use it for a larger area do check with your local authority regarding legal implications, in the UK that would be VOSA.

    Best regards

Think someone at Spandex must have made a mistake with that price. At least I hope they have, I’m hoping it’s so expensive no one wants it :lol1:
Just think a complete wrap in chrome is an accident waiting to happen.

Lol i thought that was way to lowfor that kind of material so thought ill ring up again. Its actually 95 per meter. That seems more like it. But no swatches yet

Still good to.know. Get lot ofclients wanting door handles and trim chromed. Know on wanting full wrap yet after telling them the price. Haha

Even £95 a metre is pretty cheap when you look at the price hexis were talking about & the alternative using 3m chrome laminated onto another wrap material. Did they say there was a minimum number of metres you had to order or if this way a special introductory price??

    Martin,
I’m not sure a chrome wrap would be any more blinding that a hi gloss paint job or a rear windscreen. I followed a car only yesterday (we had sun here all day! 😉 ) and was totally dazzled for a couple of miles come late evening and a low sun, ten mins later on my return leg the sun itself dazzled me even worserer – I hope they don’t ban The Sun like they have in Scotland!

seriously though.. I did consider it (or cheaper!) on my vivaro, being a black van it’s like an oven in the sun, with no AC and a great dane who goes everywhere with me, these 25°c+ days are a real pain, been 20°C+ everyday for the past week down here.

You might be right Hugh I honestly don’t know but to me I just see it as a giant mirror.
Yer we’ve had a bit of sun ourselves & to be honest I don’t think it matters what colour your car or van is when it comes to Dogs, I have the same problem with my border collie, she is with me most of the time & although she is not a typical border collie being mostly white she is having problems with the heat.

Only that it comes in 9 meter roll and its brand new material. They don’t have anymore info. They weren’t even sure if they meant to be telling customers about it yet 🙄

Simon, don’t think there were always limits on tints were there?? Pretty sure the law about tints came in because people were tinting the front windows with such a dark tint that they couldn’t see out properly.
