Chrome & carbon fibre wrap vinyl supplier?
Posted by John & Dawn Roddick on November 11, 2005 at 11:52 pmI’m looking for a supplier and hopefully a rough price per metre for chrome and carbon fibre vinyl which is suitable for wrapping.
Hope someone can help.

i know nothing on carbon vinyl, some others maybe able to help.
as for chrome. ive heard of folk ding this and that with chrome, even seen pictures. but i bet my bottom dollar. no matter how well wrapped it looks in the picture. your dog would turn their nose up at it 😉by the way, thats not meant to offend anyone, ive just seen bad attempts in my time. if anyone knows a top not wrap up close in chrome, ill eat all your hats 😀

yeh i remember that one Carrie, looks brill. but still cant help but think it wasn’t as nice up close. if for only the ever all effect from a distance, then brilliant! way to go, but i feel unless for short term promotion this is a nightmare coming true.
I’m guessing many has tried removing mirror? leaves millions of glue.
its also a short term film, i know spandex or 3m do a supposedly 5 year film at £50 a metre but still, if its made WIth a polyester film like all other mirror films it has to give in it at all. making it impossible to stretch/wrap. this being the case, every recess etc would Have to be pieced into place & probably trimmed on the vehicle.
my guess is it would look brill for a week or two. after that dog earring of the film would occur. dirt catch on the adhesive left under curls and within a month. dogs dinner.all that said, that’s just my own view. i could be a complete moomin (Carrie word) and have it all wrong 😕 :lol1:

Got a look at a swatch I think was from All Print Supplies of a carbon fibre vinyl. Might be worth giving them a ring.
