  • cheap corex / outdoor board supplier – recommendations ?

Posted by Saph-D on September 20, 2008 at 5:29 pm

    Hi,

I am looking for a supplier of outdoor board – probably something like corex – which is going to be used for short periods at a time but more often than once if that makes sense ( ie possibly on 6 monthly basis for perhaps a week )

Any suggestions of a cheap supplier of something suitable ? It will only be having text on it.

Also what would you suggest is the best way to stick this to a post which will be pushed into the ground ? They don’t want to use large wooden stakes – each sign will only be approximately A4 in size.

Finally, would you consider this to be suitable for an address sign ? My parents live off the beaten track and I’d very much like to put up a house name / arrow directing folk to their house in case of emergency. How long would you expect a piece of corex to last ?

I love those small stikit signs – shame they are so expensive !

    Many thanks,
    Saph

correx will be fine, europoint will cut it to size, use cable ties and self adhesive pads from screwfix to attach to the post/stake

    Hi guys,

Thankyou both again for your replies.

I have now ordered a few sheets from Europoint – unfortunately Pyramid didn’t have any red in stock and were going to charge me another shipping fee of £10 to send it out separately on Monday 😮

I’m looking forward to having a play with this !

    Thankyou,

    Saph
