• Charity Walk

Posted by Neil Davey on May 24, 2011 at 9:33 pm

I’m doing a charity walk at the end of June. There’s 8 of us in our team and it’s in aid of Help for Heroes. The walk is from Avebury to Stonehenge and is just over 26 miles in total. It’s a very worthwhile and important organisation………here’s our page if anyone finds an odd pound lurking down the side of the sofa

This is even more important to us now as the son of our team members was injured in a recent incident that cost one Marine his life.

    Huge thanks from us all……

Thank you Phill (Fenton) from all of us at Team Spoons.
It’s going to a great cause and we all appreciate your donation.
We’re well on our way to raising £1000 which will go to help our wounded soldiers.

Thank you so much Jill and Martin (Cole).

This really means a huge amount to our team after recent events in Afghanistan.

I just hope the weather is a little kinder to us next weekend. We were out last Sunday for a 20 mile training walk and the rain was horrendous!

Thank you again from all the team 😀

Best of luck with the walk Neil,

I feel guilty for not sending owt, every time i read this but, truth be known, I already do a fair bit involved with H4H (and RNLI) by way of donating prizes etc. and couldn’t really justify more!

sounds like a lovely walk, I had a mate who walked from Stafford to Mumbles RNLI in Swansea last month, said he hated the bit through the brecons, I couldn’t think of a nicer setting to be worrying about my blosters personally!

    Thanks Derek and Kalim.

Thanks Hugh, no sweat mate, sounds like you do plenty already. I’m hoping it’ll be a lovely walk too, the weather looks promising.
Good on your mate. I do some challenge walks every year in the Beacons and yes some of the summits can be tough.

Up to now we’ve raised over £2000 for H4H.

    Neil

Thank you for all your kind donations and best wishes.
