    Hiya,

I’m completely stuck on this one. We have a local school who use this for their internal signage. Metal channel with a chrome / polished finish to it, very shiny.
They are using it with a plastic insert which slides in from the left / right.

I’ve searched online and am completely stumped as to where to purchase it – have been through the tool bar and couldnt find anything there.

Im hoping someone will look at this and be able to identify it , put a name to it or at best hope be able to let me know where to get some from.

Any help / thoughts very much appreciated 🙂

    Hi Mike,

This is pretty standard stuff here. Often supplied by engraving suppliers, you can buy it direct from aluminium suppliers too. Not seen them in steel though.

They are called ‘sliders’ at our local engraving supplier, and they are cut to size from a longer 3m or 6m length.

Sorry i can’t help any better, but it may pay to contact anyone that sells engraving machines over there?

You can buy it from Pantograph services in Leeds too

    Shane / Gary,

(excuse the caps but…) "THANK YOU!!!" 🙂
Been searching high n wide for this stuff and it turns out its pretty common in engraving isnt it.

Astounded by how quickly you’ve both been able, and willing to, help!
Have spoken to pantograph and have sample on the way,

    Thanks tons again!

It was because of someone else on here helping me out in the first place when I was looking for this stuff that enabled me to assist this time

Great how it works ain’t it 😀

    Hey Mike,

I’ve been in the game for 18 years, but UKSB is still a great help to me in answering Questions. I look at it this way: If I’m prepared to ask for help, I should be equally prepared to offer it too 🙂

Glad you got it sorted buddy.

Coincidentally, just today I have been asked to produce some signs using sliders like these. I was scratching my head wondering where to source suitable extrusions when I remembered something similar had just been asked. Checked back on recent posting and found this thread. Voila – Bobs your uncle, my problem also solved.

    Well done UKSB 😀
