CD Printing – Where and How?

You will just need to buy coated disks to print on. Should get pretty decent results, a lot better than a sticky label that’s for sure.

Ive used a few of the disks in question they give fantastic looking and pro results but do take quite a while to burn on to the disk though ,if your only doing a handful then this is the way to go also the disks do cost a fair bit more but as i said they look the part

Agree with Brian buy the epson P50 and Taiyo Yuden CD/DVD white printable discs, you’ll be amazed at the quality.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R380 home printer that does a nice job on printing on disks. As was said you need the white pre coated DVD’s. It takes a couple min. to do full print. Much faster than light scribe.

One thing I noticed is the ink will smudge if you get the surface wet. What you can do is get an art fixative spray (for pencil sketch etc) to clear coat the printed image. This will water proof it and gives a nice slight pebble look.

The printer has a lever that drops down to load the tray that holds the Disk. Slide the tray with the disk into the printer and print away.

We use these printable Neato CD/DVD stickers from Fellowes. You just run them through whatever printer you have. Probably could get really good results with the glossy paper. Would be cheap to test it out first to see if it gives the quality you want.

Dymo Discpainter. Haven’t used it myself but looks very simple and quick to use. Will be ordering one soon so will let you know the results 🙂
