hi martin
where from and where is it going and what sizederek

Derek, it’s from Essex to Crossgates ( Fife) it’s a rockhopper 2 and I believe it’s the one that prints up to 89 inches. It’s 3 metres in length and 1.3 metres high

sorry martin cannot help i am up and down the country a fair bit but not that way defo a specialist courier job
best of luck

martin i would not trust a courier to do this, beg steel or hire a van and fetch it your self. find out what has to be done to the machine for transportation etc. and a couple of mattresses ? (big things you sleep on)

Chris, that’s why I was looking for a recommendation, I know it is a bit of a specialist job. Problem is that I have trouble hiring vans because of my disability. Thought it would be easier to get a company to do it for me. Printer doesn’t work but not sure if they could do any other sort of damage to it.

I recommend you don’t use TNT as anything they have ever delivered to me has been damaged. 😕
I would use a private courier to transport this as "mainstream commercial couriers" cannot be trusted.
If it was me I would probably hire a van and move it myself.

i’d agree with Phil you really need a private courier who will collect it and leave it on the van until it has been delivered. Using a main stream courier could mean its get taken off one van and moved to another a couple of times increasing the chance of damage. Trouble is the cost is going to be quite high as its a fair distance.
There are a few private couriers advertising on ebay, gumtree and the alike plus loads on google, found this one http://www.couriersoncall.co.uk/modules … e&artid=69 never used them so can’t give a recommendation but you may have to call several to get a sensible price. You could locally for man with van type services or maybe an old customer who would be willing to do it.

Phill, as I said above I have trouble when hiring vans because of my disability or that’s what I would have done.
Unfortunately it won’t fit in my car, thought it would before I bought it but now I know the overall length it won’t. -
Martin,
There is a crowd called Carry Gently. They do a lot of this kind of stuff. I don’t have their details but I’m sure google will lead you to them
