Carriage Costs are EXPENSIVE!!
We have just placed an order with a certain architectural signs company in Glasgow and in order for our delicate goods to arrive unscathed they want to give it presidential treatment on a dedicated courier. The problem is, the cost to our workshop in Hertfordshire is £200.
Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative or do any of you Glasgow people come down this way at any time and could chuck it in the back of yer van?? Obviously there would be some hard currency for the safe deliver of our precious sign.I live in gracious hope.

Try phoning some of the smaller Courier companies in your own area and in Glasgow itself and see if you can a get a backload price. Most self employed drivers will take accept a greatly reduced rate for a long journey to cover the return Diesel.
You may have to wait for a few days for a pick up though.
