  • Carbon fibre motorcycle wrap

    Hi all.

I have been asked for a price for wrapping a Yamaha R1 in carbon fibre. Other than bonnet and roof wraps, I haven’t really worked a lot with carbon fibre material.

I know that a lot motorcycle panels have a lot of sharp curves and deep recesses and so would like to ask for opinions on a good quality carbon fibre wrap material that is as highly conformable as possible.

    Thanks in advance,

    Pete J.

    Hi Pete
I would suggest practice first, or I can put you in touch with a guy that specialises in motorcycle wraps.

    Hi Mike.

Thanks for the reply, but I think there’s been a misunderstanding.

I have done a lot of wrapping (part and full), just not much with carbon fibre material. So I was trying to find out who thinks which carbon fibre material is the best for the purpose I intend to use it for, not how to do the wrap itself.

3M Di-noc carbon fibre is the best.
I wrapped a Can-Am spyder in that. No complaints.

You need 1080. DiNoc is for interior stuff

Wasn’t casting doubt on your skills, just more if you had not done a bike before.
Plus depending on what model R1 it is I wouldn’t
